Thomas er biblioteksmedarbejder på Vejle Bibliotek. Hans stilling rummer også ansvarsområder ind i Centralbibliotekets udvikling på tværs af bibliotekerne. Med den rolle in mente giver han sit bud på spørgsmål som: Hvorfor beskæftige sig med teknologiforståelsen på biblioteket? Og hvordan kan vi gøre det på kreative måder, hvor vi kan blive inspirerede af hinanden på tværs af biblioteker?

Noa arbejder på Ballerup Bibliotek. Sammen med Noa taler vi om tinkering-processer, teknologi-glæde og den grundlæggende nysgerrighed, som ofte er til stede når man kaster sig ud i noget nyt. Vi taler om delelementer i bibliotekarens professionalitet, og ser på hvordan teknologiforståelse integreres ind i bibliotekets strategier. Noa udsættes for sine egne spørgsmål vedrørende teknologiforståelse i bibliotekets rum, som hun selv formulerede dem til en forudgående workshop på Dokk1.

Vi møder Sara og Mathias, som arbejder med teknologiforståelse i Aarhus Bibliotekerne. De er begge tidligere folkeskolelærere og erfarne facilitatorer. De går til formidlingsopgaverne med et særligt blik for det enkelte menneske og den særlige kontekst, som de er del af. Vi hører også et par korte lydklip fra felten. I den første situation faciliterer Sara en workshop med LEGO og Tinkering Cubes på Dokk1. I det andet klip hører vi ‘Playing with the sun’-gruppens reaktioner på en prototype Mathias har bygget og som vi tester, observerer og reflekterer over.

Mille går i 8. klasse og er i praktik på Hovedbiblioteket på Dokk1. Vi taler med Mille om, hvordan ‘Playing with the sun’ byggesættet er at bygge med. Hvad har Mille bygget og lært undervejs, og hvilke udfordringer har hun mødt og overkommet. Til sidst fortæller hun lidt om, hvad der eventuelt kunne motivere hende, hvis hun skulle bygge med sættet igen.

Vi møder Christoffer, som er biblioteksmedarbejder på Aabenraa Bibliotek. Vi taler om tidlig kodning og progressionen i arbejdet med teknologiforståelse. Christoffer fortæller om, hvad der særligt motiverer ham i arbejdet med teknologi, og hvordan han agerer i kaos som facilitator. Vi taler også om hvordan kollegaer som ikke har teknologiforståelse som arbejdsområde, alligevel kan få ejerskab ind i feltet alligevel. 

Vi møder Jane, som er makerspace udvikler på Hovedbiblioteket på Dokk1 i Aarhus. Jane er projektleder på projektet ‘Kreativ teknologiforståelse’, som er forankret på på hovedbiblioteket på Dokk1 i Aarhus. Vi taler om hvordan tinkering skaber plads til forundring og fordybelse og leg. Vi hører klip fra projektgruppens arbejde med byggesættet ‘Vi leger med solen’ eller ‘Playing with the Sun’.

I det første danske afsnit møder vi Henrik, som er makerspace udvikler på Hovedbiblioteket på Dokk1 i Aarhus. Henrik er projektmedarbejder i ‘Kreativ Teknologiforståelse’, og afholder workshops, både i bibliotekets rum, men også med eksterne samarbejdspartnere. Han designer aktiviteter, displays og arbejder med en bred palette af snitflader i bibliotekets rum.

As a principal investigator at Project Zero, a research organization at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Ben teaches and conducts research in early childhood settings – something he has been doing for 40 years. He leads the two projects Pedagogy of Play and Children are citizens and is also part of the project – Playing With The Sun

Ben is a co-author of Visible Learners: Promoting Reggio-Inspired Approaches in All Schools, Making Learning Visible: Children as Individual and Group Learners and Children at the Center: Transforming Early Childhoods Education in the Boston Public Schools. He is the author of From Basketball to the Beatles: In Search of Compelling Early Childhood Curriculum and Growing Up in Child Care: A Case For Quality Early Education.

Amos Blanton is a constructionist designer and educator who specializes in interest-driven environments, activities, and communities that nurture the learner’s curiosity. In a research collaboration with Dokk1 Library, Interacting Minds Centre, and Studio Olafur Eliasson, he is designing activities and environments that invite collaborative creativity, and explore cultural transmission, identity, and shared decision making. His goal is to understand and articulate for practitioners how to design for collective creativity.

In the 15 years between his early tinkering days and his arrival at the Learning Studio A, he studied earthquakes in the Chilean Andes, satellite imaging in the boreal forests of Ontario, and Physics and Math in Erlangen, Germany. Throughout his studies and travels he became more and more fascinated with the creative and playful aspects of the natural sciences. When he came to San Francisco in 2005, he found a happy symbiosis between teaching, experimenting, and making things at the Exploratorium.
